The CDOA project aims to equip future Chief Data Officers (CDOs) and urban data specialists with the skills to lead digital transformation in urban governance. By integrating data analytics, AI-driven decision-making, sustainability, and policy-making, the project ensures that municipalities, universities, and industry partners can implement smart city solutions effectively. It fosters interdisciplinary collaboration, hands-on learning, and scalable training models for long-term impact.

The CDOA project will deliver a Smart Data Officer training program, integrating data governance, AI, and sustainability into urban management. It will establish urban data labs, AI-driven simulations, and real-world case studies to ensure practical skill application. An open-access learning platform will support long-term knowledge sharing, while policy guidelines and municipal collaborations will enhance smart city governance and industry engagement.
